Ending a business

Partnership dissolutions

Winding up a business partnership may require legal intervention if the parties are unable to agree on the terms of the partnership agreement to dissolve the partnership.

Partnerships can be dissolved at the end of a fixed term or when one party provides notice of their intention to dissolve the partnership.

As part of the dissolution, assets may need to be sold, debts will need to be settled and any profits will need to be distributed to the partners.

There may be circumstances where the partnership agreement does not disclose a process for winding up the partnership or the parties are unable to agree on the terms and sometimes an administrator may need to be appointed.

If you need further clarification or an experienced law team to help you through the process, call Kelly Legal on 4911 0500.
